Under Siege Bangkok Airports Allow Hmong Tourists More Time to Court Underage Girls
Vientiane, Laos (POBA Press December 4, 2008) – The shutdown of two Bangkok airports have left over 300,000 visitors stranded not just in Thailand but also in neighboring Laos. The majority of those stranded in Laos are Hmong tourists visiting from the United States.
At the end of every year, thousands of Hmong return to their native homeland of Laos to participate in cultural New Year celebrations. Many of the eager tourists are men who come to find wives and are taking advantage of the situation in Thailand to extend their stay to meet more women, some who are as young as eleven.
“If I stay in Laos I make more girlfriends,” said 48 year old Nhia Lor, who is visiting from California. “Yesterday I make four girlfriends at Luang Prabang elementary.”
The extended stay does come at a price. Some admit they are running low on money.
“The young girls in Laos, they talk very sweet and eat my money,” said Chai Yang, who has been in Laos since late October. “I call my brother yesterday to send more money using MoneyGram.”
North American Hmong Man/Girl Love Association, an affiliate of NAMBLA, has called the practice of older Hmong American men dating underage girls in Laos an abomination.
“It’s very disgraceful that men are traveling to Laos to date underage girls,” said Pao Yee Vang, director of NAHMGLA. “There are many beautiful underage girls in the United States!”

The bf's mom recently just told me about this situation at the airports in Thailand. My parents just left for Laos on Nov. 22 and after hearing what she had to say, it got me feeling scared. But just the other day my dad called to check on the house and they were okay. This world's gone crazy.. actually, people have gone crazy - married men finding gfs in Thailand/Laos. PSHT! :P
It's all a conspiracy of old divorced hmong women. There really is no unrest in Thailand. Or so my uncle said when he got shipped back here. Heh.

I don't think this article is for real. It's probably some propaganda by divorced women in the US or guys in Laos losing their gfs to stupid Hmong men throwing their SSI money around. I don't condone anyone going to Laos and marrying younger (over 18) gurls, but they better have a job that pays over $75,000/yr because after child support, they won't even be able to feed their arses. Besides, who would be stupid enuff to say they found gfs in elementary schools? It's not like 30-40 yrs ago when older students (14 or older) are still in 1st or 2nd grade. There were some 18 yrs old students around 4-5 grades because unlike here in the US, if u don't pass u don't go up a grade. u can be a lifetime elementary student if u don't make the grade.
